We will create a new Tech Support Specialist/Production Assistant (approx 20-30 hrs/week to start) for the right applicant(s):

We are looking for a support person to help us with day-to-day website maintenance and site production for my stable of clients.  Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Tech support, fielding a variety of support requests via phone and/or a support ticket system;
• HTML coding of designs-- from Photoshop files to XHTML/CSS code;
• Populating of websites-in-production with content and photos;
• Quality Assurance and beta testing of sites-to-launch.
• Website content updates, when received by clients via email;
• Design assistance & development assistance (primarily php);
• Web-based product updates in a variety of eStores, running a variety of software;
• Design and production of HTML promotional emails;
• Image editing, color correction and toning using Photoshop;

Requirements, in order of importance:

• Attention to detail and a good eye for design;
• Infinite patience and a good sense of humor;
• An interest in the web, coupled with an inquisitive, creative mind;
• Solid understanding of HTML/XHTML/CSS, including a solid understanding of Dreamweaver software and how to use it to maintain a live website;
• Good communication skills, especially phone skills, and the ability to interact with a wide variety of clients;
• A good attitude and willingness to quickly learn new ways to do things, paired with a curiosity that compells you to reverse-engineer and improve problem applications rather than look for a "quick fix";
• Experience working with php/MySQL applications. Familiarity with the basic principles of web-based software (primarily web-based administrative interfaces).  Familiarity with osCommerce, WordPress, Drupal and Magento Commerce.
• Strong Photoshop skills;
• Adobe Illustrator skills would be a bonus;

Because of this, we are one of the best-known and longest lasting web design businesses in the Santa Cruz area.

But we are a very small business, and operate as such. This is not a "corporate" work environment. Our office is at the beach and aquatic lunches are encouraged.

Because of the small scale of this business and the close working proximity we will have, the applicant's attitude is of utmost importance.  We are looking for a positive, resourceful, get-it-done kind of person with a good sense of humor. A person we can trust and who we will enjoy working with.  A good eye for design and attention to detail is equally as important as a working knowledge of HTML/XHTML website construction methods.
